Glass soxhlet extraction thimble is often used at temperatures above 120 degrees Celsius, and the compatibility of cellulose thimble cannot meet the requirements. It is widely used in the analysis of air and waste gas to collect solid particles.

Glass & Quartz Microfiber Filters

Depth Filters for Prefiltration, Clarification of liquids and Air Monitoring

Glass & Quartz Microfiber Filters combine fast flow rates with high load capacity and retention of very fine particles. As depth filters, they retain particles on the surface of the filter and trap them in their structure as well.

Minisart^® SRP with chemically inert hydrophobic PTFE is suitable for venting as well as harsh solvents with a pH of 1 - 14. Type 17573 with a pore size of 0.2 µm can be used for sample preparation and sterile filtration. It has a male luer slip outlet. Version K is a non-sterile pack of 50. Units can be sterilized by autoclaving or EO.

Non-sterile Minisart^® SRP syringe filters are supplied in a pouch in one pack. This reduces waste and makes the handling easier whenever the application allows clarification under non-sterile conditions, like this is the case for the majority of sample preparation steps prior to HPLC or GC analysis. The low-binding PTFE membrane is the best option for leachable free filtration whenever highest chemical compatibility and pH values of 1 - 14 are needed. For hydrophilic solutions pre-rinsing with a solvent is necessary to make the hydrophobic membrane permeable for aqueous liquids. Due to the hydrophobic nature Minisart SRP can also be used for venting. The housing of the filter is made of PP (polypropylene) which is compatibility with harsh solvents, acids and bases.
